Thanks to the attendance of over 50 of our club members and the excellent facilitation by Paudie O’Neill, Naomh Eoin completed the first part of the Hurling Development Forum on Tuesday night.
Over the course of 2 hours, those present concentrated on identifying strengths and weaknesses that impact on the hurling section of the club. Action points were then identified and the task now starts on prioritizing these into a structured plan for implementation.
The actions will be shared with the membership in advance of the proposed follow-up meeting, after which our plan will be shared with everyone in the club.
The club would like to thank all those who attended for their participation and, more importantly, for their honest input on the night. We know there is a lots more work to do on this and we look forward to your continued contribution and assistance in driving it forward.
Special thanks to Paudie for keeping the agenda moving and for maintaining the focus of the forum. Involving an expert from outside the club was a very worthwhile exercise. Thanks also to Jim Donnelly for the organization and to Maria for the refreshments – which she managed while contributing to the discussions.
More to come on next steps so stay tuned…
