During what was another hugely successful Cul Camp week, Naomh Eoin welcomed another batch of new players to our underage ranks.
A special welcome was afforded to cousins Mustafa, Almas, Humza, Kadir and Shabaz Shirzad from Beechmount, who all took to hurling and football like naturals.
The lads, originally from Afghanistan, were introduced to our native games courtesy of Mr. Maskey from Corpus Christi College and we all hope top see them in the colours of Naomh Eoin, CCC…maybe even Antrim in the coming years!
Thanks to Windy Millar and all our coaches once again for giving our Cul Camp and Saffron Og attendees another week to remember. Appreciation also to Peter Heenan of Landbridge Logistics for his generous contribution to help allay running costs.
