Naomh Eoin marked a successful 2023 with packed presentation and disco in the club. Excellently compered by Kevin McGlinchey, we were delighted to welcome guests from Antrim Camogie and from a little closer to home to make the presentations to our victorious teams in Camogie, Hurling and football.
In the senior ranks, Maedhbh Laverty accepted the Ladies Junior Football championship trophy from club President Gerry McCann, but the night belonged to the resurgent juvenile section with trophies presented to U14 and U16 camogs as well as U15 and U17 hurlers and footballers. In what was a great year for our minors, it was fitting that Enda McGurk and James Wilson couldn’t be separated in the vote for minor of the year.
Massive thanks to our two guests from the Antrim Senior camogs, Caoimhe Conlon and Caitriona Graham, for giving the Naomh Eoin girls some inspiration for the year ahead. Thanks also to Sarah Jane, Carrie-Anne, Gearoid, Donal and Brian for making their presentations and describing what it means to wear the blue and white and to Micky Gallagher and Gerry McCann for imparting some sage advice to our young members.
Lastly, thanks to the organising committee for making sure that everything ran like clockwork and for giving all those in attendance a brilliant night. Looking forward to next year already!
