A depleted Naomh Eoin side snatched a point from the jaws of defeat at Corrigan on Wednesday night against Dunloy in what could go down as the biggest recovery since Lazarus!
With personnel missing due to injury, holidays and Friday’s football championship, we struggled to reach the level of performance seen in recent victories. But fair play to the lads who stepped up for fighting right to the death.
A series of point blank saves from Homer kept us within 7 points going into the last 2 minutes and when McFall netted a superb penalty as we entered injury time, the unlikely recovery was on.
With the last puck of the game, McFall again latched onto a poor clearance and rifled an unstoppable shot to the top corner, rescuing a point and maintaining 4th place in the league.
A lot more work required for championship but there can be no doubting the spirit in the squad!
