Defeat for seniors in football semi

Naomh Eoin 2-12 Erin’s Own 1-21

Naomh Eoin senior footballers bowed out of the championship on Sunday, falling to a more clinical and experienced Cargin outfit at Glenavy.

Unfortunately, the 8 point head-start that we afforded the county champions after 25 minutes left us a mountain to climb and despite our best efforts we were never really able to get within 6 points.

2 late goals did give the scoreboard a more respectable look but it’s back to the drawing board in our attempt to get our hands on the championship trophy, as we try to bridge the gap to St Gall’s and Cargin.

Thanks to the players and management for their efforts throughout the year.  Onward and upward to 2017!
