Eagles visit Glasnevin

SAM_1719

Our Golden Eagles group visited Glasnevin on 6th May to pay their respects in this Centenary year. Taking advantage of the the excellent guided tour which included Pearse’s famous graveside oration, they even managed to fit in an impromptu rendition of ‘Grace’ at the grave of Grace Gifford.

A brilliant day’s craic was had by all who attended, topped off with a stop for lunch and few drinks before heading home. Thanks as always to Maria, Eleanor and team for the organisation and for the lads who helped round up the stragglers from the pub!

Next month’s get-together will be back in the club on 3rd June at 12 noon. If you think you or anyone you know would enjoy the Eagles’ activities get in touch with Maria Gough and pass your details on.
